The short version
It started with our own wedding, but the problem was not really about weddings. Everything that existed to collect photographs off a room full of phones was either an app nobody would install, a shared drive that needed accounts, or a service priced as though you did this monthly.
So we built the thing we had been looking for: one QR code, a private album, no app for guests, and a single payment. That was 2023. Since then more than 130,000 events have been created on it, most of them weddings, and a good number of them birthdays, work events and memorials we did not originally have in mind.
What started as a fix for one wedding turned into a company. It is registered in Scotland as PIXELPARTY GROUP LTD, number SC854567, and it has been running since 2023, still built and run by the same people who started it. The support address is answered by the people who wrote the code, which is the practical version of the same fact.

Kept even where a cheaper alternative would have been easier to run.
One payment, not a subscription
An event happens once. Charging monthly for it would earn more and make less sense, so the price is a single payment per event and there is nothing to cancel afterwards.
No app, for anybody
The moment a guest has to install something, most of them do not. Every part of the guest side runs in the browser their phone already has, including the camera with the Snapchat lenses.
The album belongs to you
Not to us and not to the guests. Full quality originals, downloadable in one go, and we do not use anything uploaded for marketing without being asked first.
Every feature on every plan
There is no feature tier. The difference between Classic and Plus is how many guests and how long the album stays open, not which parts of the product you are allowed.
So what is PixelParty?
PixelParty is a private QR code photo album for events. Guests scan a code, upload photos and video from the browser on their phone, and it all lands in one album that belongs to whoever created the event. No app, no account, no sign-in.
The same code also opens a disposable camera with real Snapchat lenses, an audio guestbook for spoken messages, and a live slideshow for a screen at the event. All of it is included on every plan, from £34.99 once.
